Add moisture to warm air via a furnace and ductwork system. They take warm air from the home’s heating ducts and pass it through a water tray or vapour pad. This allows the air to collect moisture which is then delivered back into the house.

Works by electrically boiling water to create humidity in the form of steam. The steam is then pushed throughout the ducting system.

HEPA, stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air, is a designation used to describe filters that are able to trap 99.97 percent of particles that are 0.3 microns. Originally intended for lab and factory use but now found in homes, cars, vacuums, etc.

Made of a deeply pleated, paper-like material. They help capture and reduce the circulation of dust, dander and allergens in your home. They come in a variety of sizes and rating. Visit HVACStuff.ca for more details.

The area that holds the air filter. Typically mounted in the return side of the ductwork system either vertically or horizontally. They are usually 4″ or more in thickness.
